Google Cash Detective 2 Review

News and Updates | Jay Stockwell | March 10, 2009 |

UPDATE: I’ve done an review update with lots more examples and strategies here. Probably best to read this after this original review post so you can see the context of the second post.

You might have heard about Google Cash Detective. Lots of people are talking about it.

The old version was a bit of a disaster so I was a bit unsure how this one would shape up.

I was looking to launch a new campaign of my own today, so I thought I’d try it out within my usual work flow.

After spending a few hours with it, I’ve come to the conclusion that this thing is going to be a bit of a game changer for PPC affiliate marketing. It’s that powerful.

To try and show off its power, I created a video for you, however I ran into a few problems. So instead, I’ll show you “old skool” with screenshots.

Here’s how it all played out.

THE CASE STUDY

Firstly, I looked for a profitable looking niche in Clickbank using our own proprietary in-house Clickbank software. This software is cool in its own right. Unfortunately, it’s not publicly available (I can give some of you access – see below).

This is what it looks like.

We use a variety of measurements and filters to drill down into good Clickbank offers.

Shown are some of the filters we use including gravity parameters, commission and payout rate. The filtering power is very useful as it helps you drill down quickly and easily into offers that meet our parameters. We aim for offers with decent gravity, 75% commission and a payout of over $20.

We figure, most sites convert on average at 1-2%, so if we can buy traffic for less than 50 cents we can break even. We then improve from there.

The really cool thing about this software is we’re tracking trends as well. We like to see products that are increasing in both gravity and popularity. Check out the product below and how it’s gaining momentum nicely. This is a positive sign.

Here’s a screenshot of it nicely filtered.

Based on our drilling down, we’ve selected the GOVTRECORDS Clickbank publisher to work with.

So now we’ve got what we would consider to be our golden niche using our in-house software, I want to try out Google Cash Detective to see what sort of goodness it can reveal for me.

USING GOOGLE CASH DETECTIVE

I firstly want to know whether anyone is making money from this offer in the first place. We can tell this by finding affiliates who’ve been paying for traffic to this offer over a long period of time. We can assume that if they’ve been running it for a long time, it’s either profitable or they have more money than sense.

So I jumped into Google Cash Detective and used the wildcard feature and looked up EVERYONE who is promoting our selected Clickbank publisher.

I clicked through and found a couple of people who had only been advertising a few days. This doesn’t instill much trust that those keywords and ads work.

However, it didn’t take me long to find some profitable campaigns. Man… I found some doozies!

You’ll notice in the screenshot below, there is a ratio (e.g. 55/57). This means that they’ve been advertising 55 out of the last 57 days which is a great sign.

Check out this person who’s been advertising for months with the keyword “us army”. This keyword gets 1.2 million searches a month! You could safely say that this person is making a heap of money from this keyword alone.

All I then did was simply go through each affiliate showing signs of profitability and record the keywords that are working for them.

I reckon out of 100 keywords I try, only 10 of them make me any money. The rest lose money. So, using this method, we can find out what keywords work without spending any of our own dough in the process. We can learn from other people’s mistakes for free. :)

While we are at it, we want to find out what ads are working for them. Often times, it’s the ad copy that makes all the difference. After all, if you can double your click through rate, you halve your costs.

It can take months to find good ad copy for a particular market. We’ve again had these folks do the hard work for us again. Saving us both an incredible amount of time and money.

THE GAME CHANGER

Now… here’s the real game changer that GCD does that I’ve yet to see any other software successfully achieve. Read this carefully and ponder for a moment. This is big.

Once you’ve found an affiliate that is already successful (using those strategies above), you can then find ALL their other direct linking campaigns in ALL their different markets.

This is staggering (and worrying if you’re that affiliate).

I discovered that one of the successful affiliates promoting this product also had success on acne products and spyware related products as well. Brilliant stuff!

(I blurred the affiliate ID for privacy)

If you want a fast track to affiliate success, this is certainly the way to get it!

SO HOW MUCH TO GET A PIECE OF THIS ACTION?

The good and bad thing about GCD is the price. It’s not cheap. In my books, that’s a good thing as the power will hopefully stay in the hands of just a few people, not the entire affiliate community. From what I’ve heard there will be limited spaces as well which should help things.

As you can probably tell, I’m really excited about this and if you can afford it, I recommend you make GCD part of your marketing arsenal.

Now remember GCD is not going to suddenly make you ultra successful without work. However, I’m a strong advocate for investing in things that allow you to leverage your time to the max. That’s exactly the reason why I created SpeedPPC.

Your time is your most valuable asset, and if you can leverage it further, you’ll make way more money.

THE ULTIMATE COMPLEMENTARY BONUS PACK

In line with this, I’ve put together what I consider to be truly the best bonus pack if you decide to buy through my affiliate link. This isn’t just a list of off-the-cuff, over valued teleseminars. This is real world value.

Check this out. Here’s what you’ll get if you order using our affiliate link:

BONUS 1: 12 months access to the in-house Clickbank Mining tool I demonstrated above. I guess if you price this at $99 a month, that’s around $1200 value. Not to mention the competitive advantage you’ll have because it’s not a public tool.

BONUS 2: A free SpeedPPC Affiliate Pro license to leverage your time further in creating perfectly structured PPC campaigns that will allow you to beat pretty much anyone at their direct linking game. This is $497 worth of real value.

BONUS 3: I’ll teach you a technique that we’re exploiting right now using SpeedPPC, the affiliate datafeed software included with SpeedPPC and direct linking. No-one is talking about this stuff. It’s cutting edge and I’ll share it with you. I don’t know what price to put on this. This information could be worth tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars in the right hands.

All you need to do is clear your cookies, and then click the link below immediately before purchasing. Then just forward me your receipt to jay@speedppc.com to claim these bonuses.

If you have any questions, hit me in the comments below or via the email address above.

UPDATE: I’ve written an updated blog post with some cool new examples, especially if you’re into CPA affiliate marketing. I’ve also detailed two new bonuses.

UPDATE 2: Given the somewhat off-topic nature of some of the comments below (I don’t mind, it’s just they probably don’t interest everyone reading), I’ve closed comments on this post. You can make any further GCD related comments on my new post here.

What if i already have Speed PPC?

  2. Post Comment by dq on the March 10, 2009

yeah, majority of people who attend this site, already have all your bonuses.

  3. Post Comment by Dan on the March 10, 2009

The link seems to be broken.

  4. Post Comment by Will on the March 10, 2009

Your bonus sound great but, I already have SpeedPPC, which I think it’s GREAT. Can you offer folks like me something else?

    Thanks,
    Will from Chicago

  5. Post Comment by Les on the March 10, 2009

I think the Google Cash Detective site has crashed on overload.

    I already have SpeedPPC too.

  6. Post Comment by Don on the March 10, 2009

Like the others. Would like to buy GCD but your like doesn’t work.

  7. Post Comment by Miles Pearson on the March 10, 2009

How would you compare this to SpyFu? Pros/Cons.

  8. Post Comment by Don on the March 10, 2009

Any answers as to why your link doesn’t work yet?

  9. Post Comment by Bob on the March 10, 2009

It’s likely that the bonus offers for those who are already SpeedPPC members would apply to next year (in other words, next year’s membership fees would be waived).

  10. Post Comment by Dave Tishendorf on the March 10, 2009

I’ve checked other sites offering bonuses and the link is not working anywhere. To me that means GCD hasn’t put up their launch site. These things frequently are delayed for one reason or another. Patience!

  11. Post Comment by Lee Hansen on the March 10, 2009

Yes, I too am concerned about how this would work since I already just purchased SpeedPPC. Also, buying through an Affiliate poses another issue: getting a refund if it’s a bomb and I decide to take Chris up on his refund offer. Also, what about support? Will support have to go through you as opposed to getting support directly from Chris Carpenter. And, finally, it’s 15 past 12 EST and there is no email from you or Chris on going to the order page. You guys, too many games.

  12. Post Comment by Steve on the March 10, 2009

Looks like it’s still down :-(

I’m not certain but I don’t think SpeedPPC is an annual membership. I’d love them to offer something else in it’s place:-)

  13. Post Comment by Chris on the March 10, 2009

Non of the links or the gcdetective website seem to be working. Anyone get in?

  14. Post Comment by Les on the March 10, 2009

It is not unusual to have problems of this sort with a new offer that has a lot of publicity. The problem is the GCD site not the link. If you go to http://www.gcdetective.com directly you cannot get on the site.

I am a user of http://www.spyfu.com and if GCD works as it says it will be far superior if you are affiliate marketing.

  15. Post Comment by CD on the March 10, 2009

No way to get at the order page. Your link goes to the first of Chris’s blog postings???

  16. Post Comment by Dodn on the March 10, 2009

Can’t get in either. In fact can’t even access Chris’s Blog anymore. Same thing happened in the last big launch I was involved in. Server’s crashed?

  17. Post Comment by Chris on the March 10, 2009

Any of you folks in AC? This’ll save alot of time on crankin campaigns!

  18. Post Comment by BigDaddy00 on the March 10, 2009

Don’t be stupid, people! On April 1 Google will no longer allow DIRECT LINKING, the premise upon which Cash Detective is based. Just another example of trying to sell something with a shelflife of just 21 days before it’s worthless.

  19. Post Comment by Les on the March 10, 2009

Yes, I am in AC, with no success to date. GCD seems to be the missing link, much as I hate to have to spend another $2,000

  20. Post Comment by Don on the March 10, 2009

Well, this is one way of limiting the number of folks getting in to GCD, but it sure sucks!

  21. Post Comment by Les on the March 10, 2009

How do you know Google will no longer allow direct linking after 1st April? In any event GCD will work equally well with landing pages, it is not based solely on direct linking.

  22. Post Comment by David on the March 10, 2009

why are you here BigDaddyOO if it’s only going to last 21 days?

I’m on AC too – no luck after 24 campaigns cranked.

  23. Post Comment by David on the March 10, 2009

Biggest thing AC lacks is a forum

  24. Post Comment by Chris on the March 10, 2009

You’re right about the forum. Let’s let them know! Direct linking, I-framing and landing pages will always be around. The page has to have relative content.

  25. Post Comment by Lee Hansen on the March 10, 2009

    BigDaddy00,
Where did you learn Google will disallow DIRECT LINKING on April 1st? Is that an “April Fool’s” comment?
Also, Les, was AC worth $2000 in your opinion?

  26. Post Comment by Les on the March 10, 2009

I agree AC should have a forum, they have promised one but it has not appeared. GCD will have a forum according to the sales pitch.

  27. Post Comment by Don on the March 10, 2009

Looks like an AC forum here. I’m in AC too. No luck after 50 campaigns cranked and several Google slaps.

If GCD only lasts 21 days, it would still be worth it to rat hole a bunch of profitable campaigns I can’t seem to find now.

  28. Post Comment by Randaril on the March 10, 2009

12 Noon my arse! …man on a launch as big as this, I really hope they didn’t have a windows server env handling the site. I think the volume killed their servers.

Very frustrating, but I guess there is a bunch of admins scrambling right now…

  29. Post Comment by Jim on the March 10, 2009

I became aware of GDC a few weeks ago and think it is very unfair. I have been a successful affiliate for two years now and work countless hours tweaking my campaigns. Now anyone can capitalize on my hard work, not to mention the money I’ve spent on testing. My lawyer is investigating a possible remedy but he’s not certain at this stage if I have a case. I was disappointed to see you promoting this product. I hope you reconsider.

  30. Post Comment by Steve on the March 10, 2009

I’m in AC too – no success. I keep asking them to put up a forum so we can all compare notes and help each other. This does appear to be the missing link – but I am concerned about the Google/Direct link issue that may make it a lot less desireable

  31. Post Comment by David on the March 10, 2009

Jay are you around? I’d be surprised as it’s 3.38 AM here in Sydney and you’re not far away. Just sitting here with my Credit Card and your link, waiting to go.

  32. Post Comment by Les on the March 10, 2009

    Hi Lee,

In my opinion AC was not worth the 2,000$ that it cost. It has one very vital piece of the jigsaw missing i.e. a good way of finding search terms or keywords that pay. Ways of generating thousands of keywords, hundreds of campaigns but nor targetted money keywords. Hence my interest in GCD.

  33. Post Comment by Earl on the March 10, 2009

Like many others, I bought SpeedPPC recently (and love it/ recommend it to others!). Are you offering $497 refunds or anything else in place

  34. Post Comment by David on the March 10, 2009

Hi Jim, i thought it was immoral first time around – didn’t get involved. But all this spwware stuff is here to stay. I think it’s just the next evolution of the business. I really don’t think it’ll kill your work, but it will make you work smarter and raise the bar for us all. I’m sure there will be counter measures available too before long – the whole thing is a moving feast. What does anyone else think?

  35. Post Comment by Lee Hansen on the March 10, 2009

Hi Les, Thanks for the comment. I purhcased AC and after 4 weeks got so fed up with the idot Emmannuel as a presenter, I bailed. It was the worst training I’ve ever heard, and they kept skirting issues constantly saying “we’ll get to it in week 7″ Thanks for the feedback. The PPC thing is a lot harder than all these guru’s make it out to be, that’s for damn sure. I’ve seen ‘em all: Michael Jones, Shawn Casey, on and on.

  36. Post Comment by Jake on the March 10, 2009

Cloak your campaigns is you are worried ?

  37. Post Comment by Les on the March 10, 2009

    Hi David and Jim,

There are plenty of other spy tools out there already and you can get this information by hand if you have 240 hours in a day, so GCD is cutting edge information retrieval. If you don’t joing you could get left behind but as David says the scene will have changed dramatically in another month, year – who knows?

  38. Post Comment by David on the March 10, 2009

I agree, AC has some great info but it’s not well put together and the lack of a forum is a real brake on progress. PPC Classroom is all a bit clunky and long drawn out too. All of them are about throwing mud at the wall and seeing what sticks. I like the idea of a more targeted approach. I especially like the idea of creating synergy and working together – all gets a bit insular when no-one near you understands what you even do.

  39. Post Comment by Dave on the March 10, 2009

This delay must be all about thinning the herd.

  40. Post Comment by Chris on the March 10, 2009

    It’s Live! launch.gcdetective.com

  41. Post Comment by Lee on the March 10, 2009

It’s now five of 1 EST. Anyone seen anything come up yet, or is Jay’s linking working, it’s not for me???

  42. Post Comment by David on the March 10, 2009

the order link still isn’t working though

  43. Post Comment by Les on the March 10, 2009

    Hi,

I have just ordered by going to GCDs homepage. I tried the links from this page both on Firefox and Explorer and ended up on a blank page. I didn’t want to miss the boat!!!!!

  44. Post Comment by Damian on the March 10, 2009

I got in… ordered my year subscription. IT IS ON!!! :D

  45. Post Comment by David on the March 10, 2009

    How did you get in???

  46. Post Comment by Don on the March 10, 2009

    Damian,
Where are you going to get GCD? I still can’t get in.

  47. Post Comment by Damian on the March 10, 2009

  48. Post Comment by David on the March 10, 2009

Can someone please tell me the difference between Spyfu and GCD?

  49. Post Comment by Don on the March 10, 2009

    https://launch.gcdetective.com

Doesn’t launch for me in Internet Explorer. Chris just sent an email saying the launch is delayed til tomorrow 11PM EST.

  50. Post Comment by Damian on the March 10, 2009

Click on Jay’s link above and it will redirect you to the launch page.

Jay… I’m ready for my Bonus. Thanks for offering the sweet bonuses. I definitely want to learn more about the data feed tool and the Clickbank mining tool.

  51. Post Comment by Dave on the March 10, 2009

Just got this email from Chris Carpenter:

    Hi Dave,

Trust me, we don’t want a delay any more than you do, but
we were hit with so much traffic this morning that our
    servers have crashed.
Theoretically, we can be up again within the hour, but
I would prefer to do this cleanly and fairly.

So much for the server load testing and balancing
    kit we were counting on.

    Sorry about the tease already!

I for one am ready to get started!!
We’ll open up tomorrow, Wednesday March 11th at noon EDT.

    Thanks for your patience!

It will all be well worth it.
    Chris

  52. Post Comment by randail on the March 10, 2009

launch.gcdetective.com isn’t working right now… so don’t know how you got in.

And Chris just sent an email to say that its delayed until tomorrow: Wednesday 11th 12 noon….

  53. Post Comment by Don on the March 10, 2009

    Damian,
You must be lucky, cause none of the links work for me.

    Anybody else getting in?

  54. Post Comment by Damian on the March 10, 2009

Oh no… I just got that email too. But for some reason, I got in (prob cuz I was sitting here clicking refresh every 10 seconds).

Well, hopefully Chris’s server issue clears up tomorrow. Off to do some major damage in affiliate marketing. Good luck guys.

  55. Post Comment by David on the March 10, 2009

Man – I just sat here clicking away from 2.45AM to 4.15AM – and now have to do it again tomorrow, plus go to work in between!

  56. Post Comment by Rory on the March 10, 2009

I’m IN! The link works http://www.launch.gcdetective.com

  57. Post Comment by Darryl on the March 10, 2009

    Jay
How do we get our bonuses??

    Regards
    Darryl

  58. Post Comment by Jake on the March 10, 2009

should we order ? Link is up , but whats up with the email from Chris about waiting until Tomorrow ?

  59. Post Comment by randail on the March 10, 2009

Rory the link doesn’t work. In firefox I get a blank page with: No input file specified.

    What browser are you using?

  60. Post Comment by Damian on the March 10, 2009

What to expect once you get in…

After choosing the payment option and payment plans, you enter your email and password and credit card information (I didn’t see an option for Paypal).

You can log on immediately to GCD2.

    Chris emails you your receipt.

Then you get another email asking if Chis can email you since you are a GCD member now.

Then you get another email with a link to the training videos.

Basically, throughout the whole thing he emphasizes taking it slow. I decipher as don’t all go on at once or you’ll take down my servers again. ;)

  61. Post Comment by Jake on the March 10, 2009

go to the link at the top of this page – Order or wait until tomorrow ?

  62. Post Comment by Jake on the March 10, 2009

where is the info that Google is stopping direct linking April 1st ?

  63. Post Comment by Asunta on the March 10, 2009

I could buy it but I cannot login, is somebody else having the same problem?

  64. Post Comment by Andy on the March 10, 2009

I just purchased GCD as well.

I am also an AC member, and have created around 40 campaigns.

Two are break-even, and one was quite profitable. However, Neverblue dropped the profitable offer four days later.

I believe the AC method is for people who have tons of time, and are very resistant to set-backs. With what we have learned after 10 weeks of AC, we should be able to build campaigns with GCD that are much more likely to be profitable.

I didn’t like having to pony up serious $$ again, but so far I have not been that impressed with other spy tools including SpyFu. Things look better for a small test I am running with PPCBully, but you have to wait 7-10 days (or more) as the results come in.

PPCBully shows you profitable ad positions, which can be useful, and I am not sure if GCD 2 does this.

    Andy

  65. Post Comment by Bob on the March 10, 2009

Some of you are asking about Google’s new display URL policy, see their details here http://bit.ly/Google-Direct-Linking

I purchased and can’t log in either!

  67. Post Comment by igor m on the March 10, 2009

    hi,

anyone interested in an ac forum, for users to to compare notes, stories etc? if there is interest i’ll set it up and put the word out.

tired of the muted one way conversations. does anyone think they are really going to give up the gravy on how they are really doing it is crazy.

by the way, do you think it was a coincidence that in week 3 they released a video about the newbie anthony making all that cash without any data to back it up. why week 3, because in week 4 it would have been to late to get a refund. did you know a co-creator of the program is named “anthony”. in my opinion, thats fraud. anthony has a video on youtube.

  68. Post Comment by Justin on the March 10, 2009

Jay: When you say “To try and show off its power, I created a video for you, however I ran into a few problems. ” What sort of problems are you talking about – bugs in the program? If yes, what kind of bugs?

***AC MEMBERS: I have an online discussion board set up for AC Members only – it’s been active for a couple weeks and it’s working out great. Contact me at justeriu at yahoo.com if you’re an AC Member. If you never registered for AC or if you bailed early, please do not contact me – I am able to verify who the members are and won’t let non-members in.

  69. Post Comment by Les on the March 10, 2009

    Hi igor m,

Yes please, set up the forum for AC members. How can you find the other AC members? Perhaps they are all going to joing GCD.

I too cannot access GCD using my username and password, so I have sent an email to support.

  70. Post Comment by Jake on the March 10, 2009

Send me the link to Anthony on YouTube please . You can get a AC refund at the end of 12 weeks , if you have proof you have tried enough campaigns – I would join a AC Forum

Also Gauher’s free CPA manual ( is the same guy that taught the AC guys )

The link http://bit.ly/Google-Direct-Linking does not go to a page about direct linking but to a page regarding changes in Display URL policy, which is different.

  73. Post Comment by Doug on the March 10, 2009

I don’t see anything here that bans direct-linking:

    http://adwords.blogspot.com/2009/02/change-to-our-display-url-policy.html

Are people still confused by this statement: “remember that your ad’s display URL must match its destination URL”

So, in other words, your display URL must match the (final destination of) your destination URL.

  74. Post Comment by Doug on the March 10, 2009

Jay, I purchased GCD through your link. Will you be contacting me about claiming your special bonuses, or do you need me to forward my receipt to you?

  75. Post Comment by Bonnie on the March 10, 2009

I think all these comments about others not having sucess with AC is great. I was lead to believe I am one of the VERY FEW not making a profit

  76. Post Comment by igor m on the March 10, 2009

bonnie thats the whole point of muted one way conversations where the dialogue is controlled – stalin is a good example.

i’m not a newbie in fact i have been making a very good living online for 11 years. you are in the majority not the minority. why teach new people 2006 techniques.

i’m not a “negative person as they say”, in fact in 11 years these are the only forum/blog posts i have ever made.

may an erin brockovich style class action would get their attention.

  77. Post Comment by Jay B. on the March 10, 2009

I think its active now guys. I tried to put the link i used but it didn’t seem to post.

    Goodluck.

  78. Post Comment by Doug on the March 10, 2009

@igor m … Well, regarding AC for the price of $2,000 … I guess I do expect them to give up the gravy.

  81. Post Comment by Don on the March 10, 2009

Here’s an email I just received from Chris regarding the log-in problem. Also got an email from Chris saying the doors are open and he’s not waiting til tomorrow. Gonna piss a lot of people off.

    From Chris: Hey guys!

Got it too… would welcome an AC forum as I have been working on this too. Cranked more than 50 campaigns with moderate success so bought GCD to take the guess work out of the initial start up. The key must be laser guided market research rather than cranking out 50 campaigns hoping one will strike gold.

  83. Post Comment by Barry on the March 10, 2009

I finally got my order in. When I tried using my normal Internet Explorer browser, it wouldn’t take the order because it asks for your e-mail, phone, and password and there were no boxes to enter that information. I also have a Apple Safari browser on my desktop which I used and the boxes showed up for the e-mail, phone, and password information. If you have the same trouble I had, try using another browser other than Internet Explorer. It immediately solved the problem for me. Best of luck to everyone because as Jay says, this is going to completely change this game.

I am also a member of Arbitrage Conspiracy and paid about $2,000 with high expectations. They cover a lot of material, but don’t do a very good job of really teaching it from a to z. It is my feeling they take for granted that you already know a lot about PPC. I’m going to check out Gaugher Chaudhry’s PPC Formula 2.0 which I think launches March 31st. The Arbitrage Conspiracy guys took Gaugher’s course. It looks like Google Cash Detective will run circles around Arbitrage Conspiracy in terms of usefullness and actually making money. BEST OF LUCK GETING IN!

what makes you think that is the Anthony from the AC Success Story ?

  85. Post Comment by igorm on the March 10, 2009

jake, i feel that it is based on many factors. but thats not whats important. what is important is that i could make up any name and show you any stats to serve my purpose if i controlled the conversation. power point slides mean nothing. i would believe it if an affiliate manager, an independant party could verify it. ask them and see what happens, your comments will not be answered. and the timing of the release, week 3, 1 week before you could easily get a refund..come on

    Hi Guys,
Got Jay’s link late already purchased GCD. I too am an AC member.I am hoping GCD will help me too because i got lost with AC like in week 6. Looking forward to meeting you all in the Forum. Also for Jay I purchase Speed PPC but can’t use it because i have a mac computer so what can i do apart from purchasing another computer. Thanks all.

I see your point , but you can get a refund at week 12 , just show you have launched the required campagins and you get refund plus 500.

  88. Post Comment by Rory on the March 10, 2009

I have been reading Gauher’s free CPA manual and there is some good stuff in it. Whether I move up another level or two is quite another matter.
Anyway, as Chris says ‘Rome was not built in one day’. The guys who put together a course that teaches everything we need to know right out of the box will be more than geniuses.
I have got some good content out of the AC even if I have not made a fortune in 1o weeks. But then again, I never expected to. I did however expect to learn something and I have.
It is now time to put together my own system taking what works from a lot of different sources.

Barry… I’d be interested in your feedback on Gaugher Chaudhry’s PPC Formula 2.0

  89. Post Comment by Damian on the March 10, 2009

Funny how some of you are making AC into a conspiracy theory.

That could be any Anthony in the YouTube video.

But AC is definitely a newbie course and like they said, their ultimate goal is for us to become their affiliates to their exclusive CPA Network. It is part of their master plan to make more money.

So far I have picked up one or two tricks that can potentially increase profits but it’s the trial and error that is killing everyone in that course cuz we can’t drop $5 grand like Anthony to test. But the truth is you need that type of investment to rake in the traffic and conversions if you use PPC only.

    conspiracy theories… how funny.

  90. Post Comment by igorm on the March 10, 2009

jake, its a gimmick they know that most people will give up before the 12 weeks and will not have the data to qualify for a refund. this is not a slight on the people trying to make it work but they are hedging this way. i have been on the inside of these things before.

  91. Post Comment by Earl on the March 10, 2009

Thanks to everyone sharing their real stories about AC. I am also a member and have been following all their instruction each week religiously. I have launched on average over 2 campaigns a day and am currently about $1K in the red (in total). That being said, SpeedPPC has been the best tool they recommend so far. Perhaps if they would have included useful tools / software (like GCD), I’d be more successful. More than that, a forum wulf have really helped! I wonder if they already know so many people have NOT had “Anthony’s” level of success (even a fraction of it) and are now simply scared about Week 12 refunds (which I pray they will honor if I am still not $2K in the black).

Well I’m in, I’ve forwarded my reciept onto you Jay.

As for AC membership, I now have all the arsenal to make thunderstorms accross the internet marketing cybersphere, maybe make “Guru” status.. I have speedPPC, Spyfu, and now GCD.. I’ve been trained by the best and cannot loose.

I must say I have made a 30% return back on my initial Advertising costs, so I’m still in the negative but obviously money can be made.. I have been slowing down on the cranking because its taken so much out of me, time energy and emotion. While keeping another job afloat. But I’ve got a week off, and guess what I am doing.

I wanted GCD because why would I want anyone to steal my campaigns I’ve been cranking and testing plus all the other reasons of course..

Also I thought the build up for Chris’ GCD was fantastic. I’ve now payed for the front row ticket..

Hope to see all you lucky AC members on the inside..

hey guys good AC forum going on here!
I am going to take Igor up on his offer to set up a forum for us “turtles” as those two dudes call us… Steve, Les, Don, Chris, David, Lee Hansen, Barry, Bonnie: I guess we’re all in the same boat trying to figure out how to work PPC (except for Igor)… Has anyone checked Justin’s forum for AC members? How can he x-check who is a member and who is not? maybe an insider… at this point I would much rather be part of a forum to share my experiences and what works and get the same in return from people who are working it and not just selling the millionaire idea… Unless Justin is legit and has the right intentions… I have not had much success after several dozen campaigns and I hate (really HATE) doing this cause I do not like the negativity coming out of my mouth but yeah, whatever, crank 300 before golden nugget, keep them up for at least a week… no no no put them down after 2 days if not profitable… give me a break! and Igor is right I don’t think is coincidential that “Tony” was making this $$$ at week 3… very unkool- although great results for them perhaps marketing wise…
let me know if you all are serious about making this work and let’s commit to the forum… there was one going on in Warrior Forum that I stopped following a while back…
    cheers!

    Thanks for your comments everyone!

I just woke up here after a long night to over 100 comments. :)

I wish I had put that reply plug-in for wordpress on this blog!

Anyway, to answer a few of your questions.

    1) When will the site be up?

As usual, they had problems on launch. Looks like smooth sailing now!

    2) How do I claim my bonus?

Simply email me at jay (at) speedppc.com and I’ll get Glennys to sort you out.

    3) What happens with the bonuses if you already own SpeedPPC?

If you already own it, we can give you another license, or else give you 2 years worth of updates free to your existing license. Normally it’s just 12 months worth, however this will end up giving you 3 years.

    4) RE: All the arbitrage comments…

Well I might get someone from AC to comment directly, as I can’t comment on their behalf. I have been following along most weeks, and they certainly teach everything you need to know to be successful in CPA marketing. I guess one of the big problems is putting it all together.

I hope the post I made here might help people put all the pieces of the puzzle together a big more.

    My 2 pence worth,
News on the grapevine tested by super affiliates GCD this is better than any other spy tool on the market including keyword spy and spy fu they are only toys.
You have to have perseverance and a little money to play in this game. Coupled with Speed PPC this is it. This will not work for everyone because most turkeys out there are chasing to many shiny objects.
Advice:If you find something that works stay with it and improve on it every single way.
Dont follow to many forums or get caught up on what people comment on. Stay true to yourself this is a hard game not for whinging sissys. Use your energy in a positive manner.
Remember The Next Silver bullet is Just around The Corner ?
Hope you all can make the correct decision.

    Hi everyone,

I am an AC member. I’m also relieved to have found this page where so many AC members have all openly shared your experience and struggles and few positives but mostly struggles. Way to go Jay, thank you for bringing us all together, probably unintentional but way cool.

I have not had any real positive results and I am working AC day in and day out. I haven’t found the golden nuggets and the campaigns I’ve done on google have not provided any results at all. Most of them have been disapproved or Google was not showing my ads. I had problems initally with speed ppc working right and I called AC and I sent emails to all three emails I knew of and they ignored me other than the autoresponse that they will get back to me in 48 hours. They never did. When I got on a webinar and actually got them to notice my question, they said they would handle it separately and to send them an email and it was ridiculous since they still never contacted me back even after that. What a let down. So finally I took drastic measures since I was wanting this to work really bad. I demanded my entire money back (way past the time allowed for refunds) and told them I would make a really bad rap for them online if they did not do as they promised and respond back to help me with an issue that was beyond my control, and software related. Finally 3 weeks later they actually called me on the phone. First off I gave them suggestions to hire a support team to assist us since I knew many of us were trying very very hard. They surely make enough money to provide that for us. They took the suggestion and well we still have no support. I even mentioned to them for all of our sake that when someone asks a question of something that was taught in a previous video, their method of saying they will not answer it again since they want to benefit those who are moving forward, is a rude and uncalled for answer. They are basically putting down the very people they say they are trying to benefit there since we are those that are moving forward and yet who else are they talking about? The hardest part of that is their pdf downloads and their methods of supplying us course content is very difficult to find again if it is specific and was mentioned in a video. Since their screen captures are ridiculous without any info on them except a summary without even any real outline of the info we need. So finding the answer from a previous video has been extremely time consuming at best. It only showed me that they were not the personable considerate gurus who truly wanted all of us to win and they seem like they very much favor those that have won already, rather then those who believed in them enough to spend all their time and money trying very very hard.

I had to wonder about this anthony guy too. Didn’t he get cut off of the credit card spending anyway? what happened with that? I was working right in the middle of a campaign and American Express without warning took an open available 38,000 business account and wiped it down to 1000.00 I was already at 800.00 and was forced to shut down all campaigns immediately. Many obstacles and no support for individual issues like this leaves so much to be desired. I am spending all my time testing for campaigns and as a result have not gotten to the point of ramping as a result and now I am getting to be 2 weeks behind. I am in week 8 and they are in week 10.

If anybody at all out there is providing some extra help on a pay per appointment basis for this AC group of those that are really close they can almost taste it but are not quite getting to any real money before they are wiped out of business by the credit card companies or the lack of support, or lack of a golden nugget then please by all means step forward. You can make a lot of money providing some one on one support to some of this AC group.

I have spent close to 2000.00 in advertising now and have generated no more than 200.00 in income. I don’t know how to really afford this product offered here now although I would love to get the bonuses of this offer. I bought all the programs they recommended. I am not thrilled with the paid spy fu program since it is not accurate and some of the research is dated over a year old. Everything I pulled from their program was not useable since I couldn’t afford to beat the competition on what info it provided since it was already filled up with competition. I tried to get my money back with spy fu but neither the AC group nor the spy fu program has responded back at all. Spy fu may be made up of these AC guys on their director staff or something. No response after a few emails. I find using other keyword tools is more effective than the results I got with that program.

Thanks for all your comments so we all feel better that we are not alone left out in the cold like this.

    Gabrielle

  110. Post Comment by Matthew Peters on the March 10, 2009

    HEY EVERYONE,

I am an ACer and I have invested in the course and tools. Please guys, think of this as a business. If it were super easy, it would be saturated. There are a lot of people making a living at it all over the place. Aymen was Mr.X at Yanik Silver’s Underground 5 – that says a lot to me. I have a net loss of roughly $1,000 after spending about $1,500 on google my return is over $500 now.

Guys it is working. You have to understand there is a learning curve. I had no clue about PPC until Jan 5th when I started AC.

My first campaign on adwords was 2 years ago. I had one ad with about 25 kws. Two years later, I noticed that I never turned it off or paused it. I had 1,750 clicks TO A WEB PAGE I NEVER SET UP! A $250 lesson.

You have to understand that you are starting from ZERO knowledge. It is going to take some time and effort.

HANG IN THERE PEOPLE. I’m starting to see how it works on some small campaigns. After hearing about Andrew, I locked myself in a room for two days and cranked out 45 campaigns! They were all running and I had fallen in love with a few that should have been dumped off the bat! There were a few small winners, but the ones I married, lost all of my positive cash in. DON’T FALL IN LOVE WITH AN OFFER it will KILL YOUR ROI. EVERY LANDING PAGE YOU BUILD IS JUST PRACTICE!!!

All I have to say is that I see how it works, and if you bail out it is your choice. There is the 80% 20% or the (90% 10% rule). Which are you? I know it is hard, but after a little positive success, you will realize that it is all a matter of scaling and duplicating what is working for you and then diversify by finding more offers. You will see winners more easily.

If you are bleeding $ on a campaign, pause it after a day or so. If you have done your research on the kws, and you are writing ads like those in position 1,2, or 3, IT IS NOT YOU IT IS THE OFFER THAT STINKS. There are tens of thousands of offers out there. Keep going! If you don’t like those odds, try advertising for a local company and have them pay for your “experimentation”. To them you are a guru! :)

Guys I have had two businesses prior to this. Any business you need to pay for licensing, learning, taxes upon taxes, huge employee expenses, office space and all of what comes with it. Compared to that – THIS IS A CAKEWALK! YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE/INVEST SOME MONEY when you start anything. This is just one of those. If you are risk adverse, perhaps this line of work isn’t for you. Work hard to find a government job with a guaranteed income.

Keep it up guys and gals, crank out smaller campaigns, don’t get discouraged. Give it time. REMEMBER IT TOOK EMMANUEL 300 CAMPAIGNS before he found a pot of gold – $500-$800/DAY. Do not lose heart.

I don’t know why the AC guys don’t answer every email, but that isn’t going to stop me. MY SUCCESS IS UP TO ME AND HOW HARD I WORK IT. If I don’t get an answer from the AC email support, I find it somewhere else. Fortunately, this is a business on the internet and it is easy to find answers!

I know you can do it if you just keep moving forward. If you do 2 campaigns a day, it will take you several more weeks than if you do 10 or 15 or more a day. Speed PPC makes that possible. Crank out more 50kw $5 or $10 campaigns every day. If you are at all knowledgeable, you will not lose 100% of that every day. Learn from your mistakes and DON’T GET MARRIED TO AN OFFER. I’VE DON IT AND PAID THE COST OF LEARNING THAT LESSON.

Matthew Peters – Wisconsin PPC Turtle

Let me know what you think.

  111. Post Comment by Chip on the March 10, 2009

    Matthew Peters,

Thanks for you perspective. In large part I agree with you. This absolutely should be considered a business, AC or not (and I am too). I’ve lost probably close to $1000 just on Google and Yahoo, not to mention the tools and AC itself. I’m completely brand new to all of this, so the learning curve is huge. I am frustrated and I know that I also have not put the time I should into it either.

The point is, that if you don’t look at this from a business perspective and be willing to work your butt off, it won’t happen. I’ve have another business, where I get by, and even that has been a huge amount of work.

I have no allegiance for or against AC, they are teaching and I’m attempting to learn. I too am behind and have not been able to devote the time to it that it requires.

I have SpeedPPC (thanks Jay…Great Program!) and SpyFu, not sure that I am willing to spend more on GCD until I can demonstrate, at least to myself, that I understand the mechanics of PPC, CPAs and affiliate marketing. I would love to, although for me it’s pricey and can’t do it at the moment.

I have to keep working towards the goal of making incremental positive steps and reducing the outflow of cash relative to an influx as well.

Anyway, thanks Matthew, you said a lot and hit the nail on the head.

    Chip

Hi, this message is for Matthew. Thanks for your detailed report here. The more details the better some of us can get past some issues. So you say to do 50 keywords with 5.00 or 10.00 campaigns. How are you doing that on google? Are you using spyfu? everything I did from spy fu per their instructions gave me top advertiser keywords that were very high prices. Especially doing it with speed ppc and putting many ads up at once, i have not had my ads showing at all. Google says it will cost much more per day than any 5 or 10.00. I don’t understand how you are getting that done. Could you clarify this? Are you working in markets where there is competition or are you finding most obscure markets and really going to the end of the lists of the epc payouts at the networks to find the campaigns that have no competition at all? I have yet to have anything i did with speed ppc give me any position of 1 -5.
Are you using banners or just ads and are they in iframes or landing pages to get those results? Please give a little more details so we don’t end up with so much trial and error before we are cut off for good with the credit card companies. Thank you very much. Please respond here and i will keep checking back.
    Gabrielle

This seems to be pretty cool!!!

  115. Post Comment by Matthew Peters on the March 11, 2009

    For Gabrielle and anyone else,

I would have to say that I just try to follow the AC lessons. I’m just a student and I feel silly answering any questions.

I do all ppc text ads, .30 – .40 cents per click to start. Some get no traffic because the type of search (not competition for the offer) is too high of a cpc. I just move on.

I start with spyfu, then go to excel, notepad, revenue wire to scrub or add pre or suf to keywords then pop it into Speed PPC. I just set up my desktop to use all of the tools that Emmanuel uses when he went through how he sets up a campaign (week 5, video 13). I lay them all out, go from one to the next, end with opening google adwords and tweaking the campaign settings. then I move on to the next one. I don’t spend more than 20-30 minutes, unless I iframe and buy a domain, etc.

I’ve had positive days and positive campaigns in a negative day. It was because I cranked without keeping an eye on what was happening in the campaigns, not having proper tracking and falling in love with an offer that killed the profit. I get that now.

Most of my campaigns running now are $15 – $20/day.

I had to take a day and just sift through all those campaigns on pause to see what I was doing right and wrong.

I was using google, MSN and Yahoo but it got too complicated for my ADD mind. Stats Junky would probably be great for that task.

You are right, if you have $5 to wager on a campaign then that is what you have to do. It’s not much traffic. the $10 campaigns I ran may have run part of a day, but that is what I could do at the time. Not enough info to make a decision either way though. The video on smart bidding is something that I have just started applying. I find several Low-traffic keywords that convert, but I don’t know what to do with that yet.

Don’t get me wrong, losing my $1000 hurts! I have two kids under 2years and live on one income right now and this is all a lot of money – that is exactly why I am determined to make it work. I don’t want to be in this financial situation for the next 5-10 years.

We are all doing this because we want more for our life than most average people. It is very easy to get discouraged when you work all day like a dog and it cost you $150 to do it! This is education time for me and if I can make a profit while I am learning that is icing on the cake.

If you know someone who owns a business ask them how much it cost them to just open the doors on day one (not even the cost of keeping the doors open for a day). How many months (or years) did they have to work just to hit zero. Most of them don’t know about “business”, they know a trade and don’t have someone showing them the way like we do. The AC course to me is buying someone else’s experience so I start where they are today. I’ve taken classes at the university where the prof never got back to me. I just had to dig more on my own or network for the answer.

It isn’t widely known, but most traditional business owners don’t make much if any money. You start with a gamble. My family started in farming and is now in service and retail, and it is tough. PPC is easy compared to almost any other industry.

It may be being a business owner and not AC or PPC in general that some take issues with. It is a whole different way of thinking, but if you can wrap your mind around it and get past all of the stuff you have to go through the rewards are there.

one last thing. Be sure to talk to each of your Affiliate Managers. Get AIM and set them all up so you can IM them whenever you want. They can be your best friend. Let them know exactly what you are looking for. Ask them for help. They make money when you do. They now send me offers specific to what I asked for. They do a good job of filtering out stuff that doesn’t apply to what I do. After talking to the first one, it was easier. They don’t ask you questions about your experience or ask you questions that you wouldn’t know the answer to. They want you to make money so they get paid. I sometimes play dumb to get more information out of them ;)

    Hello,

I am also an AC, and I agree with you all.

First of all I would like to say thank you to the SpeedPPC team to let us use their blog, just to talk about GCD and AC. We have taken it by assault!

Sorry Jay and Thank you Jay from all of the ACs.

It is clear we all needed to share our experiences, as we all feel very lonely and lost investing/loosing money. I am also very disspointed with the lack of transparency of the Arbitrage Conspiracy team. It is done on purpose so we dont find out the real truth of what is going on.

I am old (53y), and life has shown me not to trust 100% anybody, so I have been cranking now arround 40 campaigns, on very low budget and with Google coupons, because I did not trust, since the first moment the Anthonie’s Testimony. At this moment I only have earned arround 15$ with the 40 campaigns, and almost killing myself of so much work.
After finding out about GCD, which I just bought and I think that is just what we needed to finally get some success, I have the following suspicion:

The AC wants an army of “crankers” so they can reverse search us, the way Chris Carpenter does, so we do all the work for them, we create the historicals, and then they only have go after the profitable campaigns we find for them. Thank God Chris made this incredible launch, just in time. When I reviewed all his videos, I made a real AHAAAA!! So this is what is all about! He he… we caught you AC team… now we know better…

I agree too, we need a forum, but I think that since Chris has already the forum up, it is enough for us to communicate through his forum, after all it is private and we are going to be all using the same software and techniques.

I dont think we need a new one.

    What do you think guys?

    Hi Guys,
Could not agree with you more.Since Chris is going to have a forum i think it will be enough for all of us to share and learn from each other. The AC course is almost completed and they have no forum for us to help each other since they are not really answering our emails or responding back to us at all.Anyway this is the first course i have bought where you get weeks of ongoing training so i am still very grateful to them. I have spent thousands on courses but it stops with the GCD. This is it for me no more purchases.I have spent over 2000 on PPC ads with the AC course and have received $107 which makes me feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel because all my 4 years on the internet i have never made a cent so i am very thankful. I will just keep applying what i have learn combined with Chris course and software i should be able to succeed gradually. Well hope to meet you all in Chris forum. Talk soon.

Did not really have time to read through what everyone has written, but just wondering if any people have given any thought to Jay’s question from the e-mails: “Is this fair?”

I have got quite some doubts about the business ethics and the legality of all of this.

Nobody likes it when his website content gets copied/stolen. Nobody likes it when a campaign gets stolen.

But when the software gets created that scrapes websites many people line up to buy it?
When stuff gets created that scrapes all this information not only about one person’s campaign, but about their other campaigns as well we are running quickly to try to grab the product?

There is a line between research and theft. I really question the sustainability of your business if it has to be based on the latter.

Looking forward to responses to this.

    A question for Jay
    Hi Jay,
I understand that GCD like Stats Junky had keyword tracking. Now Stats Junky is having a few problems with Speed PPC URLs. Can you offer any advice or insight into how GCD will work with Speed PPC URLs?
    Thanks you
    Chris
PS I am with the AC and look forward to catching up with other AC member on GCD. However, I recall mention of an AC forum in one of the webinars.
Also, for those of you that think the AC boys are up to no good (shame on you). There was also a mention at the start of AC that the motivation behind them doing this was to setup there own CPA network.
    Time Will Tell! :o)

  121. Post Comment by Don on the March 11, 2009

    Dominique,
The “scraped” information is public. you could find all of it yourself manually. the GCD software just does it for you.

As for theft….. I don’t like it that you can look up where I live and see a bird’s eye view of my house either. But with knowing my name, you can do a little research and google up everything about me.

  122. Post Comment by Betty on the March 11, 2009

    Hello ACers,
It’s good to see there are actual AC members in the world, not just imaginary folks on a one way webinar. I would be very interested in the forum.
However, can we be clearer than our AC instructors?
It seem’s in this blog there are references to multiple forums.
If you have started one, please state exactly where it is if you can.
–Where is Chris’s? (if you mean the page I’m posting on then I would opt for a more organized page with topics. Keeping track on this page is like trying to find an answer to an AC question in some previous video :) or maybe it’s in a video from a future week…
–Where is Justin’s? Did you end up starting one?
    –Anyone else?
It would be great to hash out ideas with others, we shouldn’t all be having to re invent the wheel by ourselves.
My preference would be staying positive and encouraging each other while climbing the mountain together.

Oh, I’m so sorry, I forgot to mention the most important thing.
SpeedPPC is a wonderful tool! I’m sure I haven’t learned everything yet, but Thank You SpeedPPC folks!
You even have a user guide in written format, what a concept :)
Gratitude is key in this life. Thanks again for a great tool!

I just purchased the GCD2 on the launch date, and I can’t log in. Read someone else had this issue. Did I just get suckered…? :) Do I really have to go to my bank and make sure I don’t have $$$$ taken out of my account until it’s all gone? Anybody else here have any type of help for me? Or even suggestions on what to do?

What are you planning on doing since you can’t log in? I was thinking about going changing all my bank account info immediately in case I’m being scammed. Do you think it’s only a technical problem?

  128. Post Comment by Asunta on the March 11, 2009

    HI,
I have been usind GCD all day, and a couple of times it logged me out, but I could login again after a few minutes. Probably they are adjusting everything.
Chris looks like really serious, I would not worry.
His forum is here,: http://gcdetective.com/forum/index.php but still not enabled.

  129. Post Comment by Joyce on the March 11, 2009

Say it ain’t so Joe. Asunta, you are lucky. I been attempting log on since yesterday when I purchased GCD2. If there is a technical problem we should be notified. We are being left out in the cold. If you can get on, then their system is good enough to get an email out to us. My nephew also purchased it. He and his friend are having the same problems. Seems to me to be very suspicious. I hope I am wrong as I was so excited about the program. I am real close to contacting my bank. So glad I used the customer friendly card!

Doing the AC campaigns has been an incredibly frustrating experience. So far, I’ve had 2 campaigns out of about 40 that generated a profit. How much, you ask” A grand total of $21.78 !!!
The one question I’ve asked over and over is “how is it possible to make money when most payouts are $1.50 to $3.00 and we start bidding about 25 cents?

At a conversion rate of 15% (really good) and a payout rate of $2.00, we would have to bid no more than about 25 – 30 cents just to break even. But here lies the main problem – these bids won’t result in any decent number of impressions and clicks!

Sometimes you have to bid over $2.00 to get on the first page.

    Joe

  131. Post Comment by Michael on the March 11, 2009

I haven’t been able to log in either. I’ve been going through the training videos and they’re good.

You’re right that they should be communicating about the log in problem, but I think they are legit and will get it fixed. For them to create the training videos with such sincerity only to scam us later would make them the greatest, most devious cons in the world.

So, I’m going to muster a little more patience and see what happens.

  132. Post Comment by Jay Stockwell on the March 11, 2009

    Hey Guys,

It’s important to be patient when something like this first launches. I know from experience, it’s hard to predict the load that the server will be required to handle until people are actually using it.

I believe Chris had GCD2 on cloud computing, so it should be able to scale up fairly quickly. Just have to be patient. :)

As for all the AC comments, I guess this thread has been hijacked a bit. I want to encourage everyone to realize that this game is an art form and requires patience and determination. The problems people are reporting on mostly are not unique to AC, but to the game as a whole.

For a bit of encouragement, check out uber affiliates blog post about how he went from $6 a day profit to $10,000 in one month.

    http://uberaffiliate.com/affiliate-tips/how-i-went-from-6-profitday-to-10000-profitday-in-1-month/

I really like his blog as he’s most open and honest than most about the trials and tribulations.

  133. Post Comment by Ann on the March 11, 2009

To all the AC members – thanks for your posts. I agree wholeheartedly that we need a place to work together. In fact, I suggested an AC forum very early in the program and was hopeful when they said they were working on it.

I have had most of the experiences I’ve read about here – non-profiting campaigns, a credit card with which I have a 12 year impeccable history suddenly decreasing my credit line because they “weren’t comfortable with” my “new level of spending” (all on google and yahoo), frustration with no responses to questions (I’ve gone to other sources), and on and on. So I’m sympathetic to Gabrielle and everyone else.

I’ve purchased the tools – not crazy about SpyFu, love SpeedPPC (the training materials are great and Reena is incredibly responsive!). In fact, alot of what I’ve learned has been through the SpeedPPC training and resources. I’ve also utilized the Internet, my local library, and the bookstore to further my knowledge. I eat, breathe, sleep and yes, dream this stuff. My emotional journey has been nothing short of a roller coaster from my first conversion of $1.20 to my first profitable day (not overall but for a single day) of $180, to the more-often-than not daily losses. I have been slapped by Google so often that I’m getting callouses. I’ve tried every technique that’s been suggested, to no avail – yet. I’ve even created an entire web site that was showing some promise but is limping along since my credit card company dried up my advertising funds.

I’ve been in the depths of despair and felt very, very lonely. And then I’ve picked myself up and looked for a new approach. This process repeats but I won’t give up. I’ve gone back to the videos over and over. I’ve done some indexing of the Q&A videos so I can more easily find info. And mostly, like Matthew, I understand what it takes to build a business and I have great faith that I can eventually make this work. In my mind, this is a great opportunity. Other people are doing it – I want to be one of them!

I’m grateful to Aymen and Emmanuel for the work they’ve put into this. In my heart of hearts, I want to believe in them, in their motives, and in their integrity. I believe that much of what I accomplish is up to me to go after. They have introduced me to the tip of the iceberg and compiled information that would have taken me much longer to find on my own. Now it’s my responsibility to move forward and keep building with a more fortified arsenal of knowledge and skills.

Jay, thanks for allowing us to create a new level of our journey via this blog even though I suspect it is an unintended consequence. I hope we will be able to create our own forum where we can help each other succeed. Sorry if this is redundant of other posts but I wanted to share my agreement.

Let me say again, that SpeedPPC is one of the “golden nuggets” of this course.

And lastly and coincidentally (I hope this is ok to mention) I just started a blog yesterday in an attempt to meet other AC members and provide some useful info. I’ve used it as the website for this comment so I hope you’ll stop by and let’s see what we can do to help each other.

    Thanks,
    Ann

  134. Post Comment by leon on the March 11, 2009

    Hi Guys,
    I’m an AC’er too.
I’ve been reading the posts and really struggling to stop myself wasting my time in posting. Matthew and Ann, thanks for posting some common sense lines for others to read.
Look Guys, I can see the problem here…. you all thought this was a get rich overnight scheme.
Well it bloody well isn’t. This is a business!!
You all think you know what it feels to be dissapointed and disheartened and tired??
Well from what I read the vast majority of you have no idea!!
Let me explain, as Matthew said a lot of us were tradesmen or had exerience in a certain field and thought we would start a business.
That’s the same for me, I was a satellite and aerial installer and I started a business some 10 years ago.
I didn’t have anyone to teach me the finer details of running such a business and i had to learn the hard way.
For the past 10 years I have been working 7 days a week for 12 to 14 per day. I hardly saw my 3 children grow up!
Because of my inexperience and no one to teach me I made mistake upon mistake. Costly mistakes! Example i spent about £100,000 on phone directory advertising before I learnt the secret of getting my ad at the front. I spent £30K on software before finding the right ones. I spent tens of thousands on useless staff and thousands more directing my business in the wrong niche. I’ve lost thousands being sued by staff for so called bogus injuries. Hell I’ve even been sued for lending an employee money and taking it back out of their pay when they moved on!!!
Ten years later I’m in debt by £150,000 and it’s getting worse.
I’m trapped with no way out.
Dissapointment? Let me tell you about dissapointment.
Do you guys realise what a buzz it is for me to have others give me years of their own experience in 12 weeks? This stuff would take me years and years and hundreds of thousands to work out by trial and error.
And you guys complain about a couple thousand investment to start a business? Are you serious???
Do you all really believe you will be experts and make money like the gurus in 10 weeks? Grow up! Get real, your living in lala land!
Guys sorry to rip pieces out of you. I know you guys haven’t got my insight (fortunately).
Guys we are in the middle of recession credit card company’s are being right sh*ts right now!
You should see what my bank who I’ve been loyal to for ten years is doing to my business….. not pretty.
In closing, you have got to be the type of person who works his/her arse off, gets kicked in the teeth and gets back up again.
    FOR ANY BUSINESS!!
Anyway how am I getting on with AC.
10 weeks ago new nothing about PPC marketing. After a long day at work i come home and get straight to it. I’ve cranked about 45 campaigns and just started i-framing. I’ve found some kw’s for a niche which i got with spyfu, could not get any search traffic but got loads of content traffic for realy cheap bids and I’m making profit. Haven’t even tweaked yet on stats junky but will today. I call this my golden nugget even though i’m only making about $5 per day profit..why? Because I’ve now got these kw’s on the cheap (which I am going to cloak)and I’m going to use them on as many relevent offers that I can find. Then I’m going to run them all on Yahoo and msn as well. That should generate some decent income. I’m going to use the ramping techniques taught by the AC guys too that should help.
    So thats me.
Guys, now I know why Emmanuel and Aymen won’t start a forum, I can’t see how we are going to help each other when there is so much negativity (albeit due to business inexperience and i don’t mean it in a bad way).
Anyway enough from me I’m just so excited about getting to start another business and getting the best tuition from the start. In my opinion $2000 plus say another $1000 in tools and some ad spend to get years ahead in a new business venture…. THE BEST DEAL I’VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME.
Oh this GCD looks good but think I’ll use the money on ad spend for experience. Lets face it who in their right minds is going to go uncloaked in the not to distant future anyway?
Good luck Guys sorry if I came on a bit strong. I just looking forward to the day when I pay off my debts and walk in to my current business and just shut the thing down. This PPC marketing in comparison is a
    God bless,
    Leon Georgiou

@BigDaddy00 thinks Google is going to ban direct linking (and in the process getting everybody’s p4nties in a bunch) – how the F do you think they will accomplish that?

It’s not likely – direct linking, landing pages, it doesn’t make a difference – it’s the same thing.

They don’t know who owns what domain. Is Google going to start asking for proof of ownership of the landing page domain now? What the F ever. And it’s not in your WHOIS unless you’re stupid.

The only thing that matters in regard to Google’s URL policy is that your Display URL must be of the same top-level-domain as the final landing page. This is old news.

Although there is a way around that – I won’t even charge a fee – just feel like ranting. Check it out:

Joyce, I think that I could use it because I am in Europe, and while you where all sleeping, I was using it, all by myself… he he. Anyway, now I think it`s all solved, as stated in another email from Chris.
For the moment I am very impressed with the software, it certainly will save us hundreds of hours of work.

  137. Post Comment by Lou on the March 12, 2009

I bought GCD1 didn’t have much luck with it.

We got the programme to install on our own servers. We had to crawl our own keywords. Mine worked, I liked the control. GCD stopped working on my server after a few months.

There were unfortunately many problems for other users and the GCD team decided to run GCD on their own servers and give everybody access. There were endless problems and delays with that.

The training that they provided was in US timezones, and I was unable to make those.

Furthermore the paymeyment system crashed and I had to use a 2nd credit card that was being charged after I bought the product.

GCD 1 was a very bad experience for me. So hearing all these problems the guys are having with GCD 2, doesn’t surprise me at all..

I will never buy anything from Chris Carpenter again.

  138. Post Comment by Derrick on the March 12, 2009

Signed up when its launch – and well – lets say i’ve had about 1 hours worth of play in 2 days

And it is still down now – even after an “upgrade”

The system is flakey, non intuitive, and well just plain useless If you can’t actually get to use it.

If you pay a premium for a product- you do expect some level of support and customer communication & well to have the product actualy perform as advertised.

My advice – hold off for a few months. its very alpha, whoever built it obviously isn’t an experienced at building large scaleable apps.

  139. Post Comment by Gabrielle on the March 12, 2009

Hi its Gabrielle again. Wow, great comments. First to address the point regarding this blog… yes I want to thank Jay for allowing us a place to communicate. But I don’t think Jay is taking it as hard as some of your might think. From what I’ve read, it is thrilling to wake up to hundreds of comments on your blog invitation. Being the genius that he is to have put the amazing tool of speedppc in front of us, I’m sure he understands how this works and he must be excited about all the traffic and attention. After all, he was promoting the GCD program and that was why many of us came here. And many of us purchased it thru his link too so I don’t know that he feels hijacked. Am I right Jay, feel free to comment at any time and correct me if I am wrong. He must be getting a kick out of it. Many more speed ppc programs will be sold as a result since a forum like this will definitely attract attention. Google rewards for content and this forum is becoming a place for great content being shared. Who needs caffeinated content when it works so well without . It was great to find so many of our AC family members right here in one place. so Again thank you Jay for all your generosity.

And yes thank you for Reena who has been very kind and helpful. The product of speed ppc It is so impacting and sometimes I think google would ban something that can have such a domination over the project of running ppc ad campaigns. And when we put up hundreds of ads at a time, sometimes I wonder what google thinks as their workload has just exponentially increased. But they seem cool with it so far. They just have a lot more to look at when they have to slap us down.

To Asunta who said he is old at 53y, yikes I hope most people don’t think that is old, since that will make me very close to old. I never thought of myself as old yet although sometimes I can see how ppc may get me there that much quicker. I want to clarify the point made about being in business. I have never thought of this as a get rich quick scheme. There aren’t any that I have found. I am in business for over 20 years as an entrepreneur and I do know what hard work is even though I work for myself out of the comfort of my own home. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I know I would never hold a job down again, since I would never get there on time. I am also not a quitter at all so despite the hardships and the struggles, I still spend all day everyday doing this project and I put all my belief in the AC guys as well. They are fast talkers with their strong accents, but I know they spent a lot of time putting this material together for us. I think they just must have miscalculated the need for a support forum, yet I never thought it was their intention to not respond to us. They just got overwhelmed by how many of us had so many questions. And they never quite recovered from it to ever get caught up. However, we get what we need right? I made more of a fuss at the point it was tying my hands cause I wanted the answers really bad. It set me back for a couple weeks there and they actually were superb to help me on the phone finally. They had two of their guys help me work out the software issues I was having with speed ppc which kept failing to merge the info correctly. I’m a believer in Better late than never and I was relieved when I did hear from them. All that energy I had built up in side made me do sort of a rant at first on the phone. They were nice enough to listen to me and as a result I humbled considerably from when I started on the phone til when i finished. They genuinely gave me time they didn’t really have. But I asked and was persistent about it, primarily because of my financial situation which allowed me no room for failure. So I appreciate you guys and thank you again gentlemen behind the scenes at AC if any of you are reading this. I won’t give you guys away by exposing names, just in case of privacy issues.

Thanks for the tips about the Managers. I have just recently found a couple friends in the Affiliate Managers. I didn’t feel comfortable at first but after running a few campaigns and having even a little paycheck I definitely am able to talk story to a couple of them now and it is true they make you feel better and supported and they do narrow down that effort of figuring it all out yourself. At first I thought they would not like it if they knew we were infants at this and yet now they all know and they follow the AC group, I’m sure more as a necessity since they had so many of us running wild suddenly on their networks. They needed to prepare themselves for newbies on the fast track to success.

This AC course has shown me my first 150.00 ever made on line so it does work and that gives hope. After learning a course of this intensity, the rest of what we do after this will branch out of our own creativity and trial and error. But ask and ye shall receive works well. There are many great people who are very generous online that have tons of info on what works and what doesn’t. Some are willing to share and some are not too willing. But the more blogs became a part of the web the more the support
groups and communities became a way of people helping people. It is important in this day and age. Too much information leads to information overload. Its nice to know that we don’t have to figure it all out for ourselves. Only Most of it, but not all. Its a great time for free info for those starting on line. While the gurus are working towards building their big lists and as we start to do the same, the free line keeps moving with each new success story. Sometimes you must look far for it and sometimes it is right on the silver platter in front of you. The laws of the land dictate that those who give will get back many times over. So for now there is a lot of great free info at our fingertips. Just beware of getting on too many lists trying to get that free info.

Here is some of that great info that might help some of you with your CPA marketing. I just got it a few days ago. They want us to use an affiliate link to share it with others so if the blog moderator doesn’t mind, it is free info and it is relevant to what we are doing with CPA marketing. Getting a different perspective can sometimes make all the difference in the world.

http://www.cpahotspot.com/ (sorry – affiliate link removed)

just copy and paste it into your browser.

I like that so many people really spoke up and introduced themselves. And Matthew thanks for answering my questions. If you felt strange as a newbie giving us info on what you did, … well there you have the makings of our next guru eh. Glad we could help you achieve that status so quickly. It’s all good.

Aloha, and I will check in again soon. Good night. Gabrielle

  141. Post Comment by Jay Stockwell on the March 12, 2009

    Jay here… (I wrote the post) :)

Man there have a been a lot of comments! I just want to address a few issues.

    1) This post is about Google Cash Detective, so I’ll address a few things about it specifically. Firstly, everyone needs to have a bit of patience. I know you’re keen to get stuck into it, especially when you’ve paid all that money. I personally haven’t had any trouble with my account at all. However, I’m guessing that is because I’m using it on a different time zone so it won’t be loaded. My suggestion is while it’s super busy and everyone is trying to use it at once, pick some quieter times of the day. Early morning and late at night come to mind. I know Chris is trying manage the load, and it will sort itself out over the next few days. Just chill!

    2) As usual, there are many naysayers on here saying it doesn’t work and this and that. In my experience, most of the time these people are too busy on forums and posting blog comments complaining to make any serious money. The ones that are making money are the ones viewing the training, and getting stuck into things seeing how they can apply things in their business. I always say, “You go where you look”. If you want to look at the negative side of things all the time, that’s where you’ll end up.

This tool is super powerful. I’ve personally got a virtual assistant full time using this tool to reveal niches for me. She’s already found loads of hot opportunity. I’ll post about some of these in the next few days.

    3) The bonuses we’ve got are fantastic and create fantastic synergy. We’ll be able to give you access to some of them, however, I’ll only be releasing bonus 3 once the refund period is over on GCD. I’m a bit protective of this information, so will hold it close to my chest until the dust settles.

Glennys should have got back to you by now if you emailed your receipt. If not, please email again. I’ll be getting a master list from Chris hopefully in the next few days and then an updated list at the end of the refund period.

    4) Regarding all the AC discussion. I think there has been a balanced view presented here. I encourage people to read this post I wrote:

    http://www.associateprograms.com/articles/695/1/The-5-key-components-of-exponential-profits/

You can all make it work. It just requires the connection of a few small things working in synergy. I can’t recommend more that you read that article. Ponder on it closely.

    5) Regarding the comments that direct linking will be banned by Google. Well that’s just a crazy comment. It will always work.

Jay, I just received your ClickBank Mining Tool. I reviewed it and it seems fantastic. Certainly it is going to help us even more to take the right decisions when promoting a product.
Do you want us to comment here about this tool as we use it?
    Thanks a lot!

Hey, newbie here. Can’t log on GCD over past 18 hours or so. Getting the following error message at the GCD login page:

    “A database error occured.
    Error details:
    Page: /members/login.php
    Query:
Error:Can’t connect to MySQL server on ‘208.43.208.136′ (111)”

    Anybody else having this problem?

    John

Yes, I’ve got the same problem!
Been trying to contact Chris and his support team.
To my surprise, there’s no contact for support.
I searched forums, googled it. But no clues as to how to make contact with Chris other than his welcome email!
I tried that – but got no replies.
Then I found this forum. So, other people have been having the same problem as well.
So it’s confirmed. The site is down – can’t handle members’ simultaneous accesses. And Chris is probably busy trying to fix it – and no time to respond to emails.
I have lost much precious time, instead of already launching campaigns to make money.
Hope the site is fixed soon!

Given the somewhat off-topic nature of some of the comments above (I don’t mind, it’s just they probably don’t interest everyone reading), I’ve closed comments on this post. You can make any further GCD related comments on my new post here.

    Cheers
